The President Appreciates the Agricultural Business Model at the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School
Thepresidentpost.id - RI President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) appreciated the business model implemented by the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), Bandung Regency, West Java, in managing agricultural products.
This appreciation was conveyed by the Head of State in his remarks after visiting the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School Cooperative (Kopontren), Bandung Regency, Monday (06/03/2023).
"The planning carried out at the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School is really very good and can be used as an example, can be used as a role model, can be used as a business model that only needs to be photocopied," said the President.
The President also encouraged Islamic boarding schools throughout Indonesia to adopt the business model applied by the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School in managing agricultural products. According to the President, Al-Ittifaq can also be used as a holding company in the agricultural business.
"Photocopies from Solo Raya, photocopies from Riau, photocopies from East Java, from Lampung photocopies of the parent, temporary holding Al-Ittifaq," said the President.
The President said that "taking the lead" in running a business is important. The President has even done this while running a business some time ago.
“I had nearly seven years I was parenting. Not yet able to export, it used to have an industry in Jakarta. I have studied for seven years,” said the President.
Therefore, the President invited other Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia to learn from Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School. Moreover, the leadership of the Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School admitted that they were open to sharing knowledge and experience with other Islamic boarding schools.
"Earlier I was conveyed by him openly, very openly. Even so, there is not enough production here to supply the existing market demand," said the President.
Although considered successful, Al-Ittifaq Islamic Boarding School is also still experiencing technical difficulties in the field. The President asked various parties to help solve the problems faced by Islamic boarding schools.
"I asked earlier for the existing difficulties later BI to be able to help. Medco, Pak Helmi can also help, the Minister of SMEs can also be assisted with financing so that everything develops and the business model is the same as I saw earlier," said the President.
The President promised to invite business people from the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren to the Palace again within the next six months. The president wanted to know about the development of the agricultural business run by the Al-Ittifaq Kopontren.
"I will invite you to the palace in six months. But there have been developments from our meeting today. God willing," said the President.
