PT VOK Electrical Appliance Indonesia Officially Builds Factory in Kendal Special Economic Zone (KEK)
Thepresidentpost.id - Kendal - PT VOK Electrical Appliances Indonesia officially held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new factory in Kendal Special Economic Zone (KEK), Central Java. The deputy government of Kendal Regency, Head of the Kendal Regency Manpower Office, Head of the Kendal SEZ Administrator, and other stakeholders were present to witness the groundbreaking ceremony.
PT VOK Electrical Appliances Indonesia itself is a company from China that has more than 30 years of experience in the production of household appliances. Products produced such as washing machines and refrigerators are distributed to various countries. In Indonesia alone, the investment allocated for the construction of the VOK factory reaches USD 100 million, with a projected workforce of 2000 people. The factory is targeted to be operational by October 2025.
According to Hong Gang, President Director of PT VOK Electrical Appliances Indonesia, the company chose Kendal as its business expansion location due to its strategic location with integrated infrastructure, ease of licensing, and favorable tax incentive facilities. "We are very pleased to be able to carry out this groundbreaking as the first step of our major expansion in Indonesia. Kendal SEZ provides us with many advantages, and we believe that the various facilities and incentives available will be a driving force for the company's growth."
Juliani Kusumaningrum as Executive Director of KEK Kendal also welcomed the construction of this factory "Of course we are very supportive of the presence of PT VOK Electrical Appliances Indonesia in KEK Kendal. The existence of this factory will provide great benefits, both in terms of job creation and other positive impacts on the regional economy. We are also committed to supporting and assisting the company in every process until it operates later."
The presence of PT VOK Electrical Appliances Indonesia in KEK Kendal also complements the growing electronics industry in Kendal Regency. Data as of November this year shows that out of 121 companies, the electronics industry in Kendal Industrial Zone is growing and is the second largest industry type after fashion (textiles and garments).
